Our Creator's Covenant

We didn't abandon what we believe.
We found new ways to make the dream possible.

# The Creator's Covenant
### A Promise from the Cue Raven Publishing Network

**Different creators. Different tools. One belief: creativity belongs to everyone.**

We were told that creativity was a hobby. That imagination was impractical. That making things was something to do after the real work was finished.

We never quite believed that.

We believe the world is better when people write stories, grow gardens, draw comics, make music, take photographs, build things, teach what they know, and share what they've discovered.

We believe creativity is not a luxury reserved for those with money, connections, credentials, or an audience.

And we believe that making a living from creative work should not require surrendering the joy of making it.

That is why Cue Raven Publishing Network exists.

## Creators Come First

A creator's worth is not measured in followers, sales, credentials, or the size of their platform.

The beginning writer deserves encouragement. The independent artist deserves visibility. The experienced craftsperson deserves respect. The person trying something new deserves room to learn.

We believe in celebrating achievement without forgetting the people still finding their way.

**Opportunity should not belong only to those who already have it.**

## The Work Deserves Respect

Behind every creation is a person who has invested something of themselves: time, knowledge, imagination, effort, experience, or courage.

We believe creators deserve recognition for their contributions and respect for their ownership.

We support attribution, honest representation, appropriate permissions, fair agreements, and the right of creators to decide how their work is shared and used.

We do not believe exposure is a substitute for fair treatment.

Nor do we believe a creative community should profit by diminishing the people who make it worth visiting.

## Different Tools. Shared Humanity.

A pencil. A paintbrush. A camera. A keyboard. A garden spade. A printing press. A computer.

Every generation of creators has encountered new tools, new opportunities, and new questions.

Artificial intelligence is one of those developments, and we recognize that it brings both possibilities and legitimate concerns.

We respect creators who choose to use AI-assisted tools. We equally respect those who choose not to.

We acknowledge the questions surrounding consent, training data, compensation, originality, and the future of creative work. Those questions deserve thoughtful discussion, not dismissal.

Our network does not require creators to embrace a particular technology, nor does it reject creators simply because of the tools they choose.

What matters is how we create, how we treat one another, and whether we act with integrity.

**Technology should expand human possibility, not diminish human worth.**

## Honesty Builds Trust

We believe in being truthful about what we make, what we offer, and what we promise.

We will not knowingly misrepresent another person's work as our own, conceal meaningful commercial relationships, or use another creator's identity or reputation without permission.

Where the methods used to create something materially affect its meaning, value, or the trust placed in it, we believe transparency matters.

We believe honest conversations can coexist with differing opinions.

And we believe that disagreement need not become disrespect.

## Community Is More Than an Audience

We are not building a network simply to collect members, generate clicks, or fill a marketplace.

We are building places where people can discover one another.

Where a writer finds a reader. An artist finds a customer. A gardener shares a harvest. A collector finds a friend. A maker discovers that someone, somewhere, has been looking for exactly what they create.

We believe collaboration should create possibilities that none of us could build alone.

When one creator succeeds, we hope they leave the door a little wider for the next.

## Creativity and Commerce Can Belong Together

We believe creators should be able to earn a living from their work.

We also believe that businesses can be profitable without being predatory, ambitious without being exploitative, and successful without forgetting the people who helped build them.

We intend to build a sustainable network that supports creators and the people who operate it.

We will strive to be clear about fees, expectations, responsibilities, and opportunities.

We will not promise success that we cannot guarantee.

But we can promise to keep working toward a community where creators have more ways to learn, connect, share, publish, and earn.

**We don't have to choose between making a living and making a difference.**

## There Is Room at the Table

For the professional and the beginner.

For the traditionalist and the experimenter.

For the person with a thriving business and the person with a half-finished idea.

For the creator who works entirely by hand, the creator who works digitally, and the creator who combines both.

You do not have to create the same way as your neighbor to recognize the value of what they make.

You do not have to agree on every tool to share a belief in human creativity.

You only have to bring respect, curiosity, and a willingness to make room for others.

## Our Promise

We will not always get everything right.

We will learn. We will listen. We will make adjustments when they are needed.

But we will keep returning to the principles that brought us here:

**Creators first.**

**Respect for the work.**

**Freedom to choose our tools.**

**Honesty in what we make and how we share it.**

**Opportunity worth sharing.**

**A community where people can belong.**

We didn't abandon what we believed.

We found new ways to make it possible.

And we intend to keep opening doors.
